No, don't follow.

Banning someone or shutting down your blog because you didn't like what was being said is not something a person who believes in free speech would do. A person who believes in free speech would keep their blog up, but not feed the offending discourse.

This illustrates a false understanding of free speech leftists usually illustrate.

If I you are in my house saying something I don't want you to say, I'm not free to duct tape your mouth, but I am free to kick you out.

The same as a blog.

If you post comments on my blog that I do not like, well, luckily I don't have to shut down the blog or kick you off of it, I can just delete your comments.

However I cannot limit what you say in your house, or on your blog.

Of course, you know I didn't close my blog because of your comments, I already explained to you why.

Not at all. Home is understood to be personal place, whereas a blog that is advertised as political is different. If the owner of a political blog starts deleting and banning, he or she has a poor understanding of what constitutes free speech.

Regardless of how the page its advertised, it is not public domain and those who own it are within their rights to limit the material posted on the website.

And when they limit opposing viewpoints because they are opposing viewpoints, they have violated the principle of free speech. There is NO WAY around it. Either you believe in free speech and you live in your public displays, or you are a hypocritical house-fascist who merely spouts the virtues of free speech for political gain.

Blogs are public and private.
